Personal Information Users
LANC was designed in such a way that you can search for career opportunities without having to provide us with any personal information. Personal information is collected when you elect to provide LANC with that information. Personal Information is data that could be used to identify you such as: your name, email address, social security number, billing address, telephone number, bank account information or credit card number.
By using LANC, by managing your profile, or expressly opting in certain selections, you have consented for us to use your information, subject to California law, to do the following:
· To allow you to create an account;
· To create a profile for you based on information that you have provided to us;
· To enable you to provide feedback, to contact us and for us to respond to you;
· To provide RSS feed, share and bookmark features
· To provide you additional communications, information, and promotions such as career alerts and newsletters;
· To provide products and services to employers to complete the recruitment and hiring process, such as accessing the searchable resume database, access to featured seekers and newsletters;
· To provide products and services to users based on background information and career experience; and
· To generate internal reports about the use of our site;
If you previously opted to be a featured seeker, receive weekly website updates and products & offers, or be contacted by employers (or job seekers), but subsequently change your mind, you may opt-out by editing the “MY LANC” section of your profile. If you previously opted not to receive such communications, you may later opt-in by editing your account profile.
Demographic information is gathered and used with other information to improve LANC for you the customer.
Demographic information is data that is used to identify a member of a group and not necessarily you as an individual. Some examples of demographic information includes: race, age, location, employment, income, education, and interests.
Three Layers of Privacy
Setting your profile as private gives you the highest layer of privacy, but also the least visibility. No prospective employer or recruiter will be able to search your profile. The only entities with access to your information will be those that you sent it to via an application. A private profile provides you with no chance of being found by a prospective employer.
Allows you to post a resume, but hide your personal data. Be sure to remove all personal data from your resume or it will be posted when you post your resume. Your resume will be searchable put personal information such as your name, phone number, address and email will not be included. When an employer wishes to contact you, they will be able to do so through a blind carbon copy email. The email will be directed to LANC and we will forward you a copy. This gives you a medium level chance of being contacted by an employer.
Your resume is searchable, and employers can see your personal data. This option gives you the most visibility and gives you the highest chance of being contacted by an employer. You will also be eligible to become a “Featured Seeker”. Featured Seekers are placed in a prominent position on an employer’s login, giving you the attention you deserve. Employers will not have a problem identifying you and your unique talents.
